Teclen® Lyoprotect® Aluminum Tray VM (medium volume) is designed for lyophilization of pharmaceutical APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients). The tray is suitable for volumes from about 100 – 500 ml.
As aluminum has a very good heat transfer rate, the material is appropriate for many API as container for freeze-drying. Its anodized surface allows multiple use after cleaning (manual cleaning with mild detergent is recommended). All components, including the Lyoprotect® Membrane, can be sterilized in an autoclave. APIs can be produced aseptically in compliance with GMP.

Membrane
The membrane is designed for single use and can be easily replaced before every new drying cycle. It protects the API against contamination and the working environment and staff against fly-out.
Freeze-drying
During sublimation, the vapor can escape smoothly via the hydrophobic membrane. Freeze-drying process parameters determined with an open container can be transferred and lead to nearly the same drying results. Please apply the same filling level.
Sealing
The silicone flat gasket ensures reliable sealing throughout the entire process. The required sealing stress is achieved by attaching the user-friendly nuts.
Sustainability
The combination of single-use and multiple-use components helps to reduce waste. The aluminum tray is re-usable, only the membrane must be discarded.
